The track and field teams are in the sixth year of the program and they have more men and women on the rosters, giving more student-athletes a chance to do what they love. To perform at their best, they need the equipment and the ability to travel to high caliber meets where they can compete and qualify for the NCAA national meet.
During the 2020-21 season, the track and field teams placed 10 men and six women on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Athletes Team. Additionally, both the men's and the women's squads overall earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors. The women's team had the seventh-highest GPA, at 3.65, among all NCAA Division II teams and the highest GPA out of all of the MIAA schools on the chart.
The men's and women's track and field team were also well-represented on the world stage and had two international students competing in their respective country's national championships as pole vaulter Virgi Scardanzan finished second in the Italian championships and Romain Henry was 11th in the 400m hurdles in France.
