Laying down some tracks

May 24, 2017

We did it! We made it to KC last weekend for our recording session, and we couldn't have done it without you. We just wanted to share some videos and photos from the session.

Here are two videos: &

Thanks again for giving us this great opportunity!

Music to our ears!

May 17, 2017

A huge heartfelt thank you to everyone for your generous support of the Jazz Orchestra Recording project. Our students are extremely excited for the opportunity you have provided them. The students are ready to begin working on the recording next week.

Once again, a sincere thank you for making this possible. This really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for these young musicians to showcase their amazing talents.  And, they can’t wait to share their talents with you because you made the difference.

We're almost there!

April 25, 2017

Wow! With your amazing support, our Jazz Orchestra students are inching closer to making their first professional CD showcasing their individual and collective talents. The project is 68 percent funded!

Can you help us raise the last dollars needed to send these kids on their way to Kansas City for an experience of a lifetime?

Washburn Jazz Orchestra update

March 01, 2017

Great news! We're 43 percent of the way to our fundraising goal to have the Washburn Jazz Orchestra do a professional recording this summer. This is one of the best groups we've had in a long time, and we appreciate your support in making their dreams of the recording come true. We thought you might want to check out a short video of a recent rehearsal. You might also want to hear the Washburn Jazz Ensemble in concert on Thursday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m. in White Concert Hall.

This crowdfunding project will succeed because of people like you making a choice to donate and then sharing the project with your friends and family. Even if you don't give, be sure to click the links to share it on your social media pages or through email. Every little bit will help us reach our goal.
